As cricket fans we have already marked 4th March on the Calendar. It will be a historical date in Indian cricket, as the inaugural edition of the Women's Premier League will take off from that day. 

We have already analysed all the side and have looked at the potential X-factors of four of the teams. Now it is time for taking a look at the x-factor for the Delhi Capitals.

Well, the Capitals as a side look pretty strong and there are a a bunch of match winners. These players have already proved themselves in the biggest stage and they will play a big role in how far the team goes in the tournament. But as far as selecting an x-factor for the team is concerned, I feel it will be an unexplored talent who set the Women's U-19 World Cup final on fire, Titas Sadhu. 


Player Profile: Titas Sadhu

Titas Sadhu was bough by Delhi Capitals for a price of INR 25 Lakhs. This was after she set the stage on fire in the final of the Women's Under 19 T20 World Cup 2023 for India.  Sadhu was decent throughout the tournament but in the finals she sowed glimpses of a big match player, who brings the best out in her under pressure. Here is a look at her performance in the tournament.

What does Titas Sadhu add to the Delhi Capitals Women?

Titas Sadhu can turn out to be very lethal with the new ball. She gets the ball to seam which will cause a trouble to a lot of experienced batters during the tournament. 

Coupled with Shikha Pandey (if the two play together), Titas Sadhu will be putting most of the batting line-ups under pressure. Titas showed that she can hold the line and length on a consistent basis during the tournament (U-19 World Cup) and that is a quality which will really come in handy for the young pacer in this mega event.

Risk with Titas Sadhu

This is the biggest stage that Titas Sadhu will get till now in her career to showcase her talent. The pressure on the youngster will be immense. So, there might be days where the pressure gets to her and she fails to deliver upto the expectations. This is where the team management needs to keep patience with her and back her as Sadhu will be worth a bet during the tournament. 

Mark the date, it Sadhu is backed enough in the tournament, by the day the inaugural edition of WPL 2023 ends, she will be at the top of the wicket taker's list.
