Gautam Gambhir Set To Lead India Maharajas In Legends League Cricket 2023

Former Indian batter Gautam Gambhir is set to lead the India Maharajas side in the upcoming Legends League Cricket 2023 season. Ex-Pakistan skipper and star all-rounder Shahid Afridi, on the other hand, has been appointed as the Asia Lions captain for the tournament.

The Legends League Cricket organisers recently announced their captains for the three teams, and also dropped a schedule for the upcoming edition.

Gambhir, Afridi, Finch to lead in Legends League Cricket 2023

Apart from Gautam Gambhir and Shahid Afridi, Australia’s white-ball legend Aaron Finch has also been appointed as one of the skippers for the tournament. The legendary opener will be leading the World Giants, who won the previous edition of the LLC Masters back in January last year.

They defeated the Asia Lions by 27 runs in a high-scoring thriller in Oman.

Legends League Cricket announces team captains for 2023 season:

The Legends League Cricket 2023 will commence with a match between India Maharajas and Asia Lions on March 10. The tournament will conclude on March 20 with a final and all matches will be played at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
