After an explosive interview by Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hasan who claimed that Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal are not on talking terms for while which is affecting the atmosphere in the setup.

Moreover, Tamim came out in public and refuted those allegations by straightway saying that nothing else matters whenever they put on the Bangladeshi jersey. Infact, he defended Shakib who didn't join the side at that time for personal reasons by quoting that family should be a priority for any person.

Now, the newly appointed head coach of Bangladesh Chandika Hathurusingha who was previously involved with the side, six years ago, also commented on the matter. He assured that it isn't a big problem as it isn't necessary if they are going out together or not.

Moreover, the 54-year-old looked quite confident when he declared that they need not be best of friends to play for the side.

"I have been on the job for seven days. I have been in dressing rooms and I have been in teams where everyone doesn't get along. Still, when they step out, they play as a team. When you play for your national team, that's what you expect. You don't need to be best of friends to go out and have dinner. As long as it is not affecting (the team), I don't see it as a problem."

Both Tamim and Shakib will feature in the Tigers' series against England which comprises of three ODIs and as many T20Is beginning on the 1st of March.
