Australia's bowling in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 has been clueless, which was hampered more by the unavailability of their star pacers Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc, along with Cameron Green in the first two Tests.

The second Test in Delhi, witnessed Australia field three spinners and one pacer, a far-fetched reality that anyone would have expected. However, ahead of the third Test beginning on Wednesday, former Australia player Michael Kasprowicz has urged the team management to play Scott Boland and not a spin-heavy attack.

Australia led by Steve Smith, will have Starc and Green available for selection. Regular skipper Pat Cummins returned home following a personal emergency.

Speaking to SENQ Breakfast, Kasprowicz expected Starc to come in for Cummins and Green to replace the injured David Warner in the XI.

Here's what Kasprowicz said

“I don’t mind – and I’m going out on a limb here I suppose – not taking India on in the spin department. We don’t need three spinners if it’s Murphy or Kunhemann (with Lyon), I reckon get Boland in there.

The reason why is he’ll build up pressure from one end, so from the other end – as we saw in that first Test with Murphy – he was able to take wickets at the because they weren’t scoring (off Boland),”

India lead the four-Test series 2-0, winning the Nagpur and Delhi encounters by massive margins.
