It is time for the third Test between India and Australia. After two convincing victories in the first two Tests India have taken an unassailable lead in the series. At this juncture, the action shifts to Holkar Stadium in Indore for the third match.

India have won the first two matches rather comfortably and will be looking to seal the deal in this match. A win in this match would ensure that it will be these two teams that battle it out in the finals of the World Test Championship.

Meanwhile, after two rather incompetent performances, the visitors will be looking to put up a better show in this match. They will try to display better cricketing skills and at least a change in the 'sweep all' mindset, especially from the second innings of the previous match.

The match will start on the 1st of March, Wednesday at 9:30 AM IST. Before the match starts let us look at the important stats, the prime player picks and the best-predicted XIs for the fantasy contests.

Ground Stats: Holkar Stadium, Indore

The strip at the Holkar Stadium usually favours the batters, especially in the initial stages of the match. Much along the lines of the wickets that we have already seen in this series, the pitch will gradually bring the spinners into play. So, the team winning the toss will look to bat first.

IND vs AUS, 3rd Test: Top Picks

  1. Rohit Sharma (IND): The Indian skipper started the series with a brilliant century in the first match. Even in the second match, he looked in good touch, although he failed to convert the starts in both innings. Rohit will be one of the safest picks for the match.
  2. Marnus Labuschagne (AUS): One of the few positives for the Australian team in this tour has been Marnus Labuschagne. He looked in good touch from the very first innings but is yet to go big. This might well be the match where he translates a promising start into something substantial.
  3. Ravindra Jadeja (IND): The Indian all-rounder is truly defining the term -' three-dimensional cricketer' in this series. Ravindra Jadeja has been at his best with both the bat and the ball in this series. The Indian team will hope that his great run of form continues.
  4. Usman Khawaja (AUS): In the first innings of the second Test, Usman Khawaja looked the part. It looked like he is the most-suited batter from the Australian team for this kind of pitches. Although he failed to ride on the form, Khawaja will be looking to mend his ways in this match.
  5. Ravichandran Ashwin (IND): India is playing a home-Test series and Ravichandran Ashwin is not among the top wicket-takers, this is an impossible incident. Ashwin has lived up to the expectations and has been the partner in crime with Ravindra Jadeja in running through the Australian batting line-up.  There is no chance that one can miss out on Ashwin in the fantasy contests.
