With the glitz and glamour of the iconic Indian Premier League (IPL) all set to return for its 15th edition, the money is set to flow in large quantities like in previous seasons.

The report published in Economic Times states that some massive records are set to be broken with many deals already signed.

ITW Catalyst CEO Paroksh Chawla mentioned that deals and sponsorships this year might cross ₹1000 Crore in the total valuation of all teams apart from money received from the central pool.

"The cumulative sponsorship would be around Rs 1,000-1,200 crore for all the IPL teams combined, this does not include the team's share of central sponsorship revenue and other earnings,"

This means that each team is likely to earn somewhere around ₹100-120 Crore this year only as the chance to be visible during the prime time hours remains a major benefit for brands.

"While most of the teams have closed the available sponsorship slots, there are a few top slots like the front of jersey slots that are available for the IPL teams and additionally a few more have smaller slots like the leading helmet, leading trouser, etc which are still open."

Moreover, teams like Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings have almost filled their inventory and the remaining will be packed right before the season begins.
