In a massive setback for Multan Sultans, pacer Joshua Little has pulled out of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 due to an injury.

The Sultans had picked Ireland's Little in the PSL Draft as their platinum wildcard. As per a report in 'The News', Little picked up an injury during his time in the SA20 2023 playing for Pretoria Captials and is yet to recover.

The left-arm fast bowler starred for Ireland during the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 Down Under, claiming 11 wickets from seven matches, including a hat-trick against New Zealand as well. However, he missed some international series owing to franchise commitments.

Little, who became the first-ever Irish cricketer to bag an Indian Premier League contract, will be seen playing for the defending champions Gujarat Titans in the upcoming season.

The 23-year-old will be back in national colours, playing in Super League games against Bangladesh in May.

Led by Mohammed Rizwan, the Sultans currently occupy the top position in the PSL 8 points table with four wins and one loss. They next play Karachi Kings on Sunday in their away encounter.
