PSL 2023 | I don’t want to talk about Babar Azam: Imad Wasim

The Karachi Kings franchise won their first match in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 season, beating the defending champions Lahore Qalandars last evening.
However, ahead of the encounter skipper Imad Wasim was asked about former club skipper Babar Azam, who the star all-rounder chose not to speak about.
Several reports have floated about a rift between the two players after Azam was handed the Kings' captaincy last season.
Wasim has taken subtle digs in the past, but his words have never been directly aimed at Azam.
Here's what Wasim said
"It is not like that. Everything that comes on media, sometimes it true, sometimes it is not. I don’t want to talk about Babar, because the way our team is playing, we need to focus on results,
Pakistan's all-format skipper Azam moved to Zalmi this season and went up against the Kings last week.
Azam led from the front, and helped his side edge past Wasim's men by just two runs. Both teams will clash on March 1 in Pindi.
Yesterday's win over the Qalandars, has propelled the Kings into second position in the PSL 8 points table, with Zalmi languishing at fifth place.
