Quetta Gladiators will square off against Peshawar Zalmi in the 9th match of the ongoing season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2023) on Monday, February 20 at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi. Both the teams have won one game each from two games they have played in the tournament so far, respectively.

Quetta Gladiators started off their campaign with a thrashing defeat against Multan Sultans. However, they managed to come back in their next fixture, beating Karachi Kings by six runs to get their first win of the season.

They are currently placed fourth in the points table with one win out of two games they have played. Martin Guptill and Iftikhar Ahmed are the two names leading their batting lineup, while Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnain taking the responsibility with the ball.

The Gladiators have never beaten Peshawar Zalmi in the last three seasons. They will be looking to carry the winning momentum from their last match and get the better of the Zalmis after six consecutive defeats against them.

Meanwhile, Peshawar Zalmi started the tournament with a win, beating Karachi Kings in a last over thriller. However, they could not get the momentum going in their next match, losing convincingly to Multan Sultans by a huge 56 runs. 

Babar Azam is the leader with the bat and will be hoping for a better day with the ball from his bowlers. Zalmi have a six-match winning streak against the Gladiators and will be hoping to continue the unbeaten run against them in this match.

Pitch Report: The pitch of the National Stadium has been a good one for the batters. Seamers get early movements under the lights but it is all batters’ game after the first two overs.
