With the road to ICC World Cup already underway for the Indian side, the preparation is in full swing as the team is trying to settle their combination before the mega-event scheduled to be held in October-November.

The Men in Blue got the better off the New Zealand side beating them by a margin of 3-0 and now, will be welcoming Australia for another three-match series to be played from 17th March after they are done with the currently ongoing Test series.

The big talking point is the missing name of skipper Rohit Sharma from the first ODI due to family commitments and for which all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been named as the interim leader.

"Mr Rohit Sharma will be unavailable for the first ODI due to family commitments and Mr Hardik Pandya will lead the side in the first ODI."

Another one could be the inclusion of left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat into the ODI setup after a massive gap of 10 years as he previously played the series against West Indies in 2013.

Apart from that, Shahbaz Ahmed and Rajat Patidar have not been able to save their place in the squad from the New Zealand series.

Moreover, KS Bharat is out for KL Rahul who comes back but not as vice-captain with Pandya being named the deputy of the side.

India’s ODI squad against Australia:
