The Delhi Test against Australia has been incredible for India's Ravichandran Ashwin. On a venue where the champion spinner is the third-most successful Test bowler, the off-spinner bagged another milestone in his kitty.

Ashwin completed 100 Test wickets against Australia with his third wicket of the day. With this milestone, he has become the third Indian and 17th overall bowler to do so against the Aussies.

The Indian veteran became the 40th bowler to snap 100 or more wickets against a Test-playing nation in Test cricket. Apart from Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh (against Australia), Anil Kumble (versus Australia) and Bhagwath Chandrasekhar (against England) are the only Indians to achieve the feat against a single team.

The maestro off-break completed his record 100 wickets against Australia in just 20 Test matches at an average of 29.37 with a strike rate of 64.4. His next best has come against England (88 after 19 matches).

The legendary Shane Keith Warne has the record for scalping most Test wickets against a single team. He bagged 195 wickets off 36 Tests against England.

Coming back to the ongoing match, Ashwin brought India back into the game with the dual wickets of Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith in an over before snapping Alex Carey's wicket to complete his hundred.

At Tea on Day 1, Australia have lost six wickets with 199 runs in the bank after 56 overs bowled.
