With too much noise surrounding the upcoming edition of the Asia Cup as the Indian side have denied playing in Pakistan, the resolution could come anytime soon.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) have been holding meetings for a while where they have been trying to find a middle ground for the event. Even during the recent meeting in Bahrain, the decision was deferred to next month.

PCB chairman Najam Sethi mentioned that they haven't been able to come to a conclusion.

"What can I say about what happened in the Asian Cricket Council board meeting. There was no resolution,"

However, now, certain reports based on the matter state that there is a possibility of holding the tournament together in two countries i.e. Pakistan and UAE. While the India games could be shifted to the Emirates, the rest of the tournament is likely to be held in the Green nation.

Moreover, if India qualifies for the finals of the event, then the ultimate match would be shifted to UAE as well.

What the source said

"Sethi made it clear at the ACC meeting that PCB wants to host the event and some of the matches at home."

The tournament is scheduled to be held in the month of September right before the World Cup which is slated to be played from October in India.
