The 12th match of the ongoing ICC Women's T20 World Cup will feature a showdown between New Zealand and Bangladesh on Friday, February 17, at Newlands, Cape Town, as both teams look to put an end to their losing streak.

It's been a dismal start to the T20 World Cup campaign for the White Ferns, as they suffered two back-to-back losses in both their matches and by significant margins.

They suffered a massive 97-run defeat in their opening match against Australia Women and followed it up with a 65-run loss against the hosts.

Although their bowlers have performed reasonably well, their batting has been below par. With no wins to their name, they sit at the bottom of the standings and will be eager to secure their first victory in this upcoming match.

On the other hand, with two losses in as many matches, the Bangladesh Women's team has struggled in the tournament so far. They are currently placed fourth in the league standings and will look to turn their fortunes around with a win in their next game.

Pitch Report

The Newlands pitch has been two-paced in the tournament, having decent assistance for the spinners. However, as teams chasing have won three out of five games, the toss-winner will likely opt to field first.
