Indian pacer, Prasidh Krishna suffered from a back injury in September 2022, and is finally on the long road to recovery ahead of the Indian Premier League 2023 and the 50-over World Cup.

It was on the eve of India A's unofficial Test match against New Zealand A in September, that Krishna got injured, and was eventually replaced by Shardul Thakur in the squad.

After getting his operation done, Krishna took to Twitter on Thursday, and stated that he'll make a comeback soon.

"Gutted to mis out on so much cricket. Be back soon."

Having made his ODI debut in March 2021, Krishna had a good start to his international career. He brings a variety into the Indian attack, especially with the hard lengths and his height.

The Karnataka pacer last played for Indian in the ODI series against Zimbabwe, in August 2022.

The 26-year-old is a doubter for the upcoming Indian Premier League season, but the fans will be hoping that he recovers in time for the World Cup. Still plenty of cricket left, and Krishna seems optimistic about his chances.

In case he misses out of the IPL due to the injury, Rajasthan Royals will be in the market for an Indian pacer.
