The latest player to go under the hammer in the ongoing Women's Premier League is Sneh Rana. The Indian spinner was purchased by Gujarat Giants for INR 75 lakh.

Considered as one of the best spinners in the business, Gujarat have a gem on their hands. Rana is a useful spinner across different phases of the game. She can be used inside the power-play, can be bought into the attack during the middle overs, and can also chip in with a couple of overs towards the end phase.

Apart from Rana, Gujarat have also acquired the services of West Indies' Deandra Dottin, Annabel Sutherland, Sophia Dunkley, and Beth Mooney.

The Indian team is currently playing in South Africa at the T20 Women's World Cup, and Rana is in the reserve team.

The 28-year-old has played 24 T20I matches for India, and has picked up 24 wickets, at 20.37. With the Indian conditions generally assisting the spinners, she will be a useful asset for the Gujarat side.

The wickets will wear down and a quality spinner in Rana can wreak havoc.

Gujarat will be hopeful that the off-break bowler can replicate her India performance for their franchise.
