As expected, the venue for the third Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2023 has been shifted from Dharamsala to Indore. In a statement, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that the third encounter between India and Australia will take place from March 1st at the Holkar Stadium in Indore.

Due to harsh weather conditions and lack of a proper outfield, the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala was dropped as host last evening. The second Test will begin on February 17 in Delhi, while the fourth Test will be played in Ahmedabad from March 9.

Here's what BCCI said

“Owing to harsh winter conditions in the region, the outfield lacks sufficient grass density and will need some time to develop fully,”

The first Test at Nagpur witnessed the hosts rout Australia by an innings and 132 runs, finishing the match within three days, and gaining a 1-0 lead.

The last international match at Indore, came in January 2023, when India and New Zealand clashed in the third and final ODI, which the home side won comfortably.
