The big game! The big moment! The big battle! It is the Desert Vipers taking on Gulf Giants in the finals of the inaugural season of the International League T20 2023 to be played at Dubai International cricket stadium, Dubai.

This tournament has been nothing but fascinating with some of the superstars of the game turning up with their best version. The Vipers outclassed Giants in Qualifier 1 and headed straightway here where they would be eyeing the coveted trophy. Conversely, the Giants after getting trashed through the hands of their rivals, defeated MI Emirates in the Qualifier 2 to reach here.

The Giants finished the group stage at the top of the table where they won seven out of their ten encounters with two getting washed out, earning 16 points. At the same time, Vipers won seven too but lost three as none of their matches was abandoned which gave them 14 points, keeping them in second place.

Date & Time: February 10, 7:30 PM IST
Venue: Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai
Live Telecast & Streaming: Zee Network and ZEE5

Pitch Report: Expect a decent one with scores ranging between 160-170 with batters finding it easy to time the ball. However, things can change in the second half when the pitch slows a bit so teams winning the toss would like to bat first.

Predicted Playing XI

Desert Vipers: Rohan Mustafa, Alex Hales, Colin Munro (c), Sam Billings (wk), Sherfane Rutherford, Wanindu Hasaranga, Tom Curran, Luke Wood, Gus Atkinson, Sheldon Cottrell and Shiraz Ahmed

Gulf Giants: James Vince, Chris Lynn (c), Shimron Hetmyer, Gerhard Erasmus (wk), Colin de Grandhomme, David Wiese, Carlos Brathwaite, Aayan Afzal Khan, Chris Jordan, Sanchit Sharma and Qais Ahmad

Prediction

Both these sides have been wonderful throughout the tournament as they possess quality line-ups. However, the Gulf Giants have been more dominant which gives us a point that they are likely to be better than their counterparts.
