As per emerging reports, the iconic HPCA stadium in Dharamsala might miss out on hosting third India versus Australia Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy

The ground, which hasn't hosted a First-Class fixture since 2020, saw its renovation work significantly getting delayed due to recent rainfall in the city.

As a result, it seems unprepared at the moment and is doubtful to get match-ready before 1st March, the scheduled date for the third Test between the two teams.

Although an official word on the matter is yet to come, the BCCI has shortlisted Visakhapatnam, Indore, Rajkot and Pune as the potential substitutes for Dharamsala.

Meanwhile, India are in a commanding position in the ongoing first Test in Nagpur, having already taken a massive lead of 144 runs in the first innings.

Batting first, Australia posted a paltry 177, falling prey to Ravindra Jadeja's bowling masterclass. Although debutant Todd Murphy had started scripting a dramatic comeback for the visitors, skipper Rohit Sharma failed his mission by scoring a fighting hundred on day 2.

Furthermore, after Rohit departed, Jadeja and Axar Patel ensured India didn't have any further hiccups in the day, finishing on 321 for seven at stumps on day 2.
