A total of four teams locked horns on Saturday, February 4th in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Let's take a quick review of the action transpired.

Match 35: Chattogram Challengers vs Comilla Victorians

Result: Comilla Victorians won by six wickets.

Riding on a discipline bowling effort, followed by another Mohammad Rizwan half century, Comilla Victorians beat Chattogram Challengers in Match 35 by six wickets.

After opting to bat first, Chattogram got off to a poor start, losing two of their top order batters early, but the duo of Usman Khan and Afif Hossain stitched a partnership of 88 runs for the third wicket. Both Usman and Afif scored centuries and Chattogram posted 156 for seven in twenty overs. Tanvir Islam was the pick of the bowlers for the Victorians, who took two early wickets and finished with a figure of 2 for 27.

Chasing 157, the defending champions got across the line with one over to spare. Mohammad Rizwan scored another half century at the top of the order. Imrul Kayes, at three, got off to a good start but was soon halted and Rizwan kept losing partners at the other end until Mosaddek Hossain, at five joined the Pakistan international and added a match winning 76 runs for the fourth wicket. Ziaur Rahman was the pick of the bowlers for Chattogram with the ball, taking 2 for 27 in four overs.

Match 36: Sylhet Strikers vs Rangpur Riders

Result: Rangpur Riders won by eight wickets

A brilliant batting day for Rangpur Riders helped them to beat Sylhet Strikers by eight wickets in Match 36.

After being asked to bat first, Sylhet Strikers set a formidable target of 171 to Rangpur Riders. Towhid Hridoy was the star for Sylhet, who scored an unbeaten 85 off 57. Skipper Mushfiqur Rahim also complimented well with an unbeaten half century. Azmatullah Omarzai had another fantastic game with the ball but could not bag any wickets.

In reply, Rangpur Riders chased the target quite comfortably at the end with two overs to spare. Rony Talukdar got Rangpur off to a great start, powering them to 59 for none in the powerplay. He added hundred runs for the first wicket alongside Mohammad Naim, who complemented with a decent 45 as well. Shoaib Malik joined in next, scoring an unbeaten 41 off 24 and got Rangpur across the line.
