On Thursday, Brisbane Heat will lock horns with Sydney Sixers in the Challenger of the ongoing Big Bash League

Meanwhile, ace Heat seamer Michael Neser has admitted to the team missing regular skipper Usman Khawaja in this do-or-die face-off. However, the 32-year-old seemed determined to weave his magic with the ball in this match, as he has done throughout this season.

The crafty speedster also explained how teamwork has led the Heat to phenomenal success in the tournament this season.

"Uzzy (Khawaja) was in our ears and thinks he is the spiritual leader of our bowling attack but not having him there is a big loss. I will probably have to step up and help our bowling attack because Uzzy gave us that calming influence on the field. As a bowling unit we have all got to step up and do our job,

"One of the good things we've done this tournament is that it hasn't been one person performing," he said. "We start off real slow in this tournament and we've come home hot, as the Heat normally do."

Neser has been exceptional with the ball in the competition, scalping 24 wickets in 15 appearances at a superb strike rate of 12.7.

Despite missing a few key players, Brisbane Heat have enough firepower to surprise the Sixers. With two robust outfits set to battle it out, it will be interesting to see who emerges victorious in this crucial clash.
