The consequence of Dane van Niekerk's omission from South Africa's T20 World Cup squad has now started to surface as prolific Proteas all-rounder Marizanne Kapp has withdrawn herself from the tri-series finale against India on 2nd February.

van Niekerk was left out of the squad after she failed to clear the 2 Km fitness test despite previously given repetitive warnings. Her void is going to create a massive hole in the side which even if they try, won't be possible to fill up.
