As the inaugural edition of the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023 is set to take the cricketing world by storm, the pre-tournament buzz is massive with as many as five franchises from Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Gujarat and Lucknow working on attaining the first-mover advantage.

While Gujarat Giants have already onboarded Mithali Raj as its mentor, a latest report confirms of Jhulan Goswami's addition in the roles of bowling coach and mentor in the Mumbai-based team.

As per ESPNcricinfo, the yet-to-be-named Mumbai franchise which is a part of the Mumbai Indians universe has already hired the retired legendary pacer as its bowling coach and mentor.

By quoting Sourav Ganguly, who is the Director of Cricket of Delhi Capitals, in the report, it was revealed that Goswami has already been signed by Mumbai. However, Delhi had also approached her.

"We had given her an offer, but she is going to Mumbai," Ganguly said.
