Legendary South African batter AB de Villiers has praised another emerging talented batter from his country, who has been making buzz since making his debut in the highly-celebrated SA20 2023.

The South Africa-based league has unveiled undiscovered talents such as Donovan Ferreira, Dewald Brevis, Ryan Rickelton, and Jordan Hermann. However, ABD - who is known as Mr. 360 in world cricket - signed praises of the last-mentioned cricketer at the highest notch.

Hermann is currently representing Sunrisers Eastern Cape in SA20, but the top-order batter has been able to showcase his prowess in the league; except for playing two fine innings of 59 and 43.

While talking to Sport24, the former Proteas mentioned the upcoming left-hander as one of the players who has impressed him.

"At the top of my head, among the batters is Jordan Hermann. I didn’t even know about him before the tournament, to be honest. I heard his name once, and then I watched him bat, and I was really impressed."

"I would love to work with these batters. I really have a lot of passion in regards to that. You have to evolve as a player. If you stagnate, you will end up not enjoying the game. I think there need to be constant check-ups. I think that’s what kept me fresh. I always wanted to raise the bar every single season until the very end," the 38-year-old cited.

The left-handed, however, had a prolific run in the recently concluded CSA 4-Day Series, notching 432 runs at an average of 86.40 for the Warriors.
