Mohammad Mithun proved difficult for Fortune Barishal to manage as Dhaka Dominators clinched their third victory of the season by five wickets at Sylhet International cricket stadium in the 31st match of the Bangladesh Premier League.

Anamul keeps Barishal in the game

It was a decent start for the Barishal side as they lost their first wicket for 42 runs as Saif Hassan departed for 15 to Amir Hamza who grabbed two in the entire game. Skipper Shakib al Hasan came and went adding to his side's woes who later were three down for 54. Big-hitting Pakistani batter Iftikhar Ahmed couldn't do much as he was caught for six leaving his side reeling at 66/4.

Anamul Haque tried holding the other end but left as soon as he reached 42 with Mahmudullah still at the crease. In the end, it was Karim Janat's blitz who thumped 17 off 5 balls to propel his side to 156 for the loss of eight wickets.

Apart from Hamza, all other bowlers were decent enough to bag one wicket each to display a collective bowling effort.

Mithun's firepower keeps Dhaka Alive

Chasing 157 for victory, the Dominators started in a dominating style as the duo of Soumya Sarkar and Mohammad Mithun stitched a 74-run partnership at the top of the order to ensure they are at par with the rate before the former lost his wicket. Mithun at the other end didn't hold himself back and notched up his half-century smashing six fours and three sixes. He couldn't stay beyond the 12th over as Abdullah Al Mamun and captain Nasir Hossain kept them going.
