It is the 23rd match of the ILT20 2023 with Sharjah Warriors taking on Desert Vipers to be played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium with much at stake.

The Vipers have been pretty decent so far at second position with five wins out of seven earning 10 points whereas the Warriors have triumphed in three from as many games keeping them fourth-placed.

Alex Hales and Colin Munro have done it decently with bat amassing 434 and 187 runs, respectively whereas Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Chris Woakes have been the standouts for the Sharjah-based side.

In their respective previous encounters, Warriors defeated Abu Dhabi Knight Riders by four wickets and on the other hand, Desert Vipers were stunned by MI Emirates as they recorded the worst loss in the tournament by a margin of 157 runs.

Match Details

Date and Time: January 31, 07:30 PM IST
Venue: Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah
Live Streaming: ZEE Network and ZEE5

Pitch Report: Sharjah's short dimensions allow some big scores on an occasional basis as the sluggish pitch here doesn't make run scoring way too difficult at times. The score could be around 150 runs with teams looking to bat first after winning the toss.

Probable XIs

Sharjah Warriors: Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Marcus Stoinis, Joe Denly (c), Adam Hose, Mohammad Nabi, Paul Walter, Naveen-ul-Haq, Noor Ahmad, Junaid Siddique and Muhammad Jawadullah

Desert Vipers: Rohan Mustafa, Alex Hales, Colin Munro (c), Sam Billings (wk), Sherfane Rutherford, Wanindu Hasaranga, Tom Curran, Gus Atkinson, Sheldon Cottrell, Ali Naseer and Matheesha Pathirana

Prediction

It is expected that Desert Vipers might return to winning ways as they have a team which can perform during crunch situations. Hence, they are likely to move ahead with two points.
