Hardik Pandya-led India made the best use of the conditions on offer in the second T20I against New Zealand and came out on top, winning a close encounter by six wickets. Pandya's usage of spinners has been praised by many, including India's bowling coach Paras Mhambrey.

As per India Today, speaking at the press conference, Mhambrey said that the inclusion of Yuzvendra Chahal was a tactical one, which paid off. Pandya finished the full quota of overs from Deepak Hooda and Kuldeep Yadav, while Washington Sundar and Chahal dished out three and two overs, respectively.

Interestingly, Chahal is India's highest wicket-taker in T20Is. 

Here's what Mhambrey explained

"One of the reasons why we went in with that change was we realised that an additional spinner would definitely help, which it did. Chahal bowled very well for us.

What is extremely important is, even though Jadeja and Axar are not there, we had an opportunity to try other bowlers as well. We know what value the other two spinners can bring,"

Mhambrey further praised Hardik Pandya for rotating the bowlers well and also claimed that a target of 130 runs would have been troublesome for India. 

The final match of the New Zealand tour will take place on February 1 at Ahmedabad, where both sides will clash to lift the T20I trophy.
