On Sunday, India managed to beat New Zealand in the second T20I, making a comeback into the series.

On a spin-friendly track in Lucknow, India's bowling looked more potent with the inclusion of Yuzvendra Chahal, as they restricted the visitors to a paltry 99.

After the game concluded, former India opener Wasim Jaffer hailed Indian skipper Hardik Pandya for his captaincy skills.

Speaking to ESPN Cricinfo, Jaffer also came down hard on the Lucknow pitch for not being up to international standards.

Here's what Jaffer said

"This time around, Hardik Pandya was spot on, bowling the spinners a lot more. He didn’t use Arshdeep Singh a lot,

"The wicket was not suited to T20, but in the end the crowd at least got to see a thriller of a game. Whenever any Ranji game happens in Lucknow, you do get a lot of spin-friendly conditions. I am surprised that they served the same kind of pitch for an international game."

Both teams will clash in the third T20I on February 1, with the series levelled at 1-1.
