England's Natalie Sciver had a stellar 2022, and as a result she has been rewarded by ICC as the Women's ODI Cricketer of the Year.

The all-rounder racked up 833 runs and picked up 11 wickets from 17 games, including five half-centuries and two sensational hundreds under tough circumstances.

Sciver finished the year as the second-highest run-getter behind South Africa's Laura Wolvaardt. The 30-year-old had a stellar average of 59.5 and a strike-rate of 91.43.

England reached the finals of the Women's ODI World Cup, and Sciver had a major role in it, amassing 436 runs, at an average of over 70. She saved her best knock for the finals against arch-rivals Australia, almost single-handedly keeping England's World Cup hopes alive.

Chasing a tricky 356, England looked down and out at one stage, but Sciver played the innings of her life and struck a majestic 121 ball 148. She slammed 15 fours and a six, but failed to steer her side to victory as wickets kept tumbling at the other end.

Sciver finished the World Cup as the third highest run-getter, only behind Australia's Alyssa Healy and Rachael Haynes.
