After beating New Zealand comprehensively in the ODI series, Indian team's skipper Rohit Sharma has set his eyes on the Australian Test series. Men in Blue have been dealing with serious injury concerns as their prime players Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah still haven't recovered.

Now, Sharma who has been extremely concerned regarding these two spoke on the absence of the fast bowler mentioning that he is certain to miss the first two games of the Border Gavaskar. However, he is cautious about rushing him back into the side.

The right-hander added that they are hopeful of his comeback in the final two games as they have been inquiring about his health updates on a constant basis from the medical staff at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

"About Bumrah, I'm not too sure at the moment, of course for the first two Test matches he's not going to be available,

"I'm expecting that; not expecting but hoping he plays the next two Test matches but again we don't want to take any risk with him. The back injuries are always critical. We have got lot of cricket coming up after that as well, we will see, and we will monitor. We are in constant touch with doctors and physios at NCA and we are constantly hearing from them."

Before the Australia series, India are scheduled to play New Zealand in the three-match T20I series beginning on the 27th January.
