Indian opener Shubman Gill had a sensational series for the Men in Blue as the batter emerged as the top scorer throughout the series on the back of a record-breaking double ton and a century in the final ODI registering 360 runs to his name.

The player looked in great touch throughout the series, and played a crucial role in the side's clean sweep over New Zealand.

Talking to the broadcasters during the post-match presentation Gill talked about his game plan while batting up top, the batter also asserted on the fact that he did not have to make a lot of changes to his game and just focused on the conditions while batting,

"It feels nice to get rewarded, and it is nice to perform well for the team. I don't think I have changed my approach much. I believe in converting the starts and am looking to do the same. It is not about your personal score; it is about the situation. I play according to the situation and plan accordingly."

The tour will be a brilliant morale boosting event for the batter as India prepare for the all-important Border Gavaskar Test series against Australia starting February 9. Gill will once again have to play a crucial role for the side, and will look to continue scoring runs to consolidate his spot up top for the upcoming World Cup.
