After a scintillating show from India's star all-rounder Shardul Thakur who grabbed figures of 3/45 in his six overs while scoring 25 runs with the bat against New Zealand, the right-armer said he was just trying to execute his plans.

India posted a heavy total of 385 on the board with magnificent centuries from skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill whereas the bowling department did the rest by bowling them out for 295, hence, winning the match and clean-sweeping series.

Thakur who has been crucial for the Men in Blue mentioned that he doesn't bother himself too much by thinking but instead makes sure he is prepared for every moment of the game. Moreover, he added that he has been quite a big fan of batting and enjoys it like everyone does nowadays.

"I think everyone is here to play cricket and the opponent comes after you but you need to be in the game and I was trying to execute the plans as discussed. I don't think too much and I try to be ready for every situation. Everyone enjoys the batting and in modern-day cricket, each and everyone enjoys doing so."

India and New Zealand will next face-off in the three match T20I series beginning on 27th of January in Ranchi.
