Shardul Thakur achieves milestone of 50 ODI Wickets against New Zealand

India's Shardul Thakur has been tremendous in white-ball cricket for the past few years as he struck time and time again with his deceiving deliveries. The right-arm seamer while bowling in the third ODI against New Zealand achieved a massive feat.

The Palghar-express' wicket of Glenn Phillips was his 50th wicket in one-day cricket after making his debut in 2017 against Sri Lanka. He has bowled well in this game and as of now, has already claimed three wickets.

Shardul has featured in 34 ODIs for India where he has bowled with an economy of 6.25 while averaging 31.74 during his career. His best figure of 4/52  came against South Africa in 2018 in the 6th ODI.

Overall, he has scalped 27 Test wickets and 33 T20I wickets for India during the course of the last six years.

In this game, Thakur played a cameo of 25 runs from 17 balls hitting 3 fours and a six helping his side to reach a gigantic total of 385 by the end of 50 overs.

In return, the Kiwis are seven down after the end of 36 overs with the scoreboard showing 267 with 119 more required.
