In a major development, young all-rounder Jason Sangha has marked his BBL return for Sydney Thunder's final group-stage encounter against Melbourne Stars on Wednesday.

Sangha, who started the season as the captain of the Thunder, was ruled out for an indefinite time after sustaining a shoulder injury.

Therefore, his comeback can be termed as a morale booster for the Thunder, who are placed fifth with 12 points to their name.

However, despite Sangha returning to the team, stand-in captain Chris Green will continue to lead the side.

Meanwhile, Green expected the Stars to come hard at them and play an aggressive brand of cricket, as they must be hoping to finish the season on a high note.

Here's what Green stated

"They’re incredibly dangerous. They have that freedom to play; everything to play for - and want to finish on a high,

"It’s their last game, so I’m sure for their fans they’ll come out wanting to finish on a high note. Particularly after [Thunder] winning that first game in Canberra. I’m sure they’ll want to get one back."
