IND vs NZ, 3rd ODI: Preview, Prediction and Fantasy Tips

On Tuesday, hosts India will lock horns with New Zealand in the final ODI of the three-match series in Indore.

Team Preview: India

Having won the first two games, India have already clinched the series. After sealing a narrow 12-run victory in the first match in Hyderabad, the hosts discovered their vintage best to demolish the BlackCaps by eight wickets in the second fixture in Raipur.

While Mohammed Shami answered his critics brilliantly, Rohit Sharma unleashed himself to demoralise the visitors in the second half.

However, their only concern is Virat Kohli, who is yet to fire in the series. So, moving on to this game, the Men in Blue would like the talismanic batter to regain his touch, as they will enter the field to ensure a clean sweep.

Team Preview: New Zealand

On the other hand, New Zealand have had a forgettable tour so far. Despite Michael Bracewell's sensational knock, they fell 12 runs short of the target in Hyderabad. However, the Kiwis were a pale shadow of themselves in Raipur as they surrendered to the rampant Indian bowling unit.

Importantly, if we remove Bracewell's hundred, none of the Kiwi batters has had an impact in the series. Their bowling has been equally woeful, as Lockie Ferguson, Henry Shipley and Blair Tickner have failed miserably to keep the Indians on their toes.

So, if they want to change their fortunes, they must regroup and play with a nothing to lose approach in this clash.

Match Details

Date and Time: January 24, 01.30 PM IST
Venue: Holkar Stadium, Indore
Live Streaming: Star Sports Network and Hotstar

Pitch Report: The surface at the Holkar stadium in Indore remains flat and assists batters throughout the day. The bounce will be even and ideal for playing shots. There will be some help for the spinners, and chasing might get tougher if dew doesn't fall in the latter half. So, the toss-winner will likely opt to bat first.

Predicted XIs

As India have won the series, they will likely make some changes in their playing XI. Yuzvendra Chahal might replace Kuldeep Yadav, and Umran Malik might come in place of Mohammed Shami or Mohammed Siraj. Hardik Pandya also might be rested to manage his workload.

New Zealand might replace Henry Nicholls with Mark Chapman and Blair Tickner with Ish Sodhi.

India: Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan (WK), Hardik Pandya, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Umran Malik, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj/Mohammed Shami

New Zealand: Devon Conway, Finn Allen, Mark Chapman, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham (C/WK), Glenn Phillips, Michael Bracewell, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Henry Shipley, Lockie Ferguson
