Joburg Super Kings' spinner, Aaron Phangiso has been reported for suspected illegal bowling action.

SA20 received an official suspected illegal bowling action report from the match officials, who officiated between Joburg Super Kings and Pretoria Capitals on January 17.

As per the SA20 suspected illegal bowling action policy, the matter will be handed over to the independent bowling Action Panel for adjudication.

The panel consists of Match Referee representative, Mr Gerrie Pienaar, former Proteas pacer, Vernon Philander, and Cricket South Africa high-performance manager, Mr Vincent Barnes.

During this period, Phangiso can continue to bowl for the Super Kings. The panel has seven days to review the footage and reach a conclusion.

The SA20 will update the stakeholders once the matter is finalised and will not comment till the time assessment is going on.
