When their entire campaign is looking in trouble, the Joburg Super Kings in the SA2O League has announced the replacement for their star player Harry Brook. The young Englishmen has been replaced by homegrown South African batter Sibonelo Makhanya who captains Titans in domestic cricket.

Brook was in phenomenal touch ahead of the SA20, however, with his grown stature in the international arena and after becoming an all-format player, the England and Wales Cricket Board ECB decided to pull him off the league to manage his workload properly.

The 26-year-old has been on the field for 74 T20 matches where he has amassed a total of 818 runs at a strike rate of 114.08. Along with that, he has grabbed six wickets in his career after bowling 21 times.

Posting on their Twitter account, JSK wrote

"Announcement: Sibonelo comes in as Harry Brook’s replacement. Roar Proud, Sibo!"

Super Kings are having a hard time in the competition after their initial win against the Durban's Super Giants as their batting faltered out against Paarl Royals and MI Cape Town in the next two matches.

Their next game will be against Pretoria Capitals at their home, Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on 17th January where they will be looking to turn the tables.
