The International Cricket Council has released the updated Men's player rankings. As expected, veteran Indian batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have jumped up several places following their sensational knocks in the first ODI against Sri Lanka.

While his 45th ton has seen Kohli move two places up to sixth, skipper Rohit has gained a spot to the eighth in the standings.

Furthermore, Indian spearhead Mohammed Siraj has made giant strides, jumping four spots to eighteenth in the bowlers chart after registering impressive figures of two for 30 in the first ODI.

Meanwhile, Australian batting maestro Usman Khawaja has emerged as the most significant gainer in Test rankings, moving four spots up to number eight in the batters' list.

Marnus Labuschagne continues to reign at the top, while Tom Latham, who hammered twin fifties in the second Test against Pakistan, has progressed to the 19th position.

Among the bowlers, while Pat Cummins remains at the top, Josh Hazlewood has moved six spots up to number ten following his clinical outing in the Sydney Test.

In the T20I rankings, Suryakumar Yadav and Shakib Al Hasan continue to reign at the top in the batters and all-rounders chart, while Wanindu Hasaranga has dethroned Rashid Khan to become the number-one ranked T20I bowler.
