The speed guns became the centrepiece of attention as soon as Umran Malik started his proceedings in the first ODI of the ongoing three-match series against Sri Lanka.

The tearaway pacer has been releasing bowl at the speed of a bullet train and it was no different on Tuesday as he clocked the fastest-ever delivery by an Indian in international cricket.

Bowling to Charith Asalanka in the fourth ball of his second over, the Jammu Express came true to his name and recorded a 156 kph delivery. In the same over, Umran got his first wicket of the night as India got a lucky breakthrough in the form of Asalanka.

While Umran is known for his pace, he has been bringing along a great accuracy with it lately that could make him India's go-to man in white-ball cricket.
