Pakistan's most improved player in the last few years has been all-rounder, Shadab Khan. Khan, who is Pakistan's white-ball vice-captain, starred with both the ball and bat in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, earning him a Big Bash League contract with the Hobart Hurricanes.

Unfortunately, Shadab injured his finger while playing for the Hurricanes, missed Pakistan's ODI series against New Zealand, and has lately been critised by fans for preferring T20 leagues over national duties.

Taking to the social media platform Twitter, Shadab responded to a fan, explaining his point of view on playing leagues across the globe.

Here's what Khan tweeted

"Finger injury can happen anytime. The ball can hit a player during practice whether the cricketer is Australian or Pakistani. Playing in different conditions and gaining new experiences is how a person learns. The aim is to learn and play the best cricket for Pakistan."

He further stated the pros of playing foreign leagues with an in-depth explanation.

If reports are to be believed, talks of Shadab donning the hat of Pakistan's T20 captain are gaining momentum. The talented leg-spinner leads the Islamabad United franchise in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
