The Durban's Super Giants will look to better what their Indian branch - Lucknow Super Giants did in their maiden IPL season. The purpose of the team will definitely be to win the inaugural season of SA20. But does DSG have the depth to survive the test?

Moving onto the fourth team of the tournament, Durban's Super Giants, let us try and analyze their strengths and weaknesses.

Here is how the squad stands for the Super Giants of South Africa.

Batters: Quinton de Kock (Wicketkeeper and Opener), Johnson Charles (Opener), Matthew Breetzke (Wicketkeeper and top order batter), Christiaan Jonker (Middle order batter), Heinrich Klaasen (Wicketkeeper and Middle order batter)

All-rounders: Prenelan Subrayen (Off spin bowler and lower order batter), Jason Holder (Medium pace bowler and lower order batter), Kyle Mayers (Top order batter and Medium pace bowler), Wiaan Mulder (Middle order batter and Medium pace bowler), Dwaine Pretorius (Medium pace bowler and Lower order batter),  Keemo Paul (Medium pace bowler and lower order batter)

Pacers: Reece Topley (Pace bowler), Kyle Abbott (Pace bowler), Junior Dala(Medium fast bowler), Dilshan Madushanka (Medium fast bowler)

Spinners: Simon Harmer (Off spin bowler), Keshav Maharaj (Left arm orthodox)

Strengths

1. Great amalgamation of all-rounders: They have covered most of their bases woth a great variety of all-rounders. The depth in this section of the team will provide them great dynamism and flexibility to field the proper playing XI as per the playing conditions.

2. Settled top-order batting line-up: With the likes of Quinton de Kock, Johnson Charles, and Kyle Mayers the top-order batting of the Super Giants looks very settled.

Weaknesses

1. Lack of variety in the middle-order: The Durban's Super Giants batting looks top-heavy. While there are plenty of decent names at the top order, the middle order is missing the variety and experience to win the tournament.

X-Factor

Wiaan Mulder: Wiaan Mulder will be playing a crucial role for the Durban's Super Giants. He will be batting in the middle order and will have to be the player who sets the tone for the team in most of the matches. Also, with the ball, the team might demand a few crucial overs from him.
