Avesh Khan - 5 /44 vs Vidarbha

After hurting Vidarbha with a seven-wicket haul in the first innings, Madhya Pradesh’s Avesh Khan took another five-wicket haul on Day 4, destroying all the hopes of Faiz Faizal and his men of saving the match. Avesh started the day with two quick wickets and completed his 10 wickets in the match. Vidarbha were 3 down for just 37 on the board, while chasing a mammoth 407. It was Avesh’s career’s second 10-wicket haul in a match, first since the 2018-19 season. MP went on to win by 205 runs. Avesh finished with a 12 for 82 in the match.

Vijay Shankar - 103 (174) vs Mumbai

Vijay Shankar scored a brilliant century on Day 4 against Mumbai, helping Tamil Nadu to draw the match. TN were just 43 runs ahead at the start of Day 4 and needed to make sure they bat at least another two sessions and restrict Mumbai. Shankar stepped up at the right time, scored his sixth first-class century, his first since 2017 and helped Tamil Nadu’s lead go past 212. Mumbai could only manage 137 before bad light stopped play and the match finished as a draw.

Mohit Redkar - 6/73 vs Kerala

Mohit Redkar, playing his fourth first-class match, bowled a match changing spell early on Day 4 to help Goa register their first win of the season. Kerala were in the middle of a 50-run partnership for the 7th wicket with two set batters, Rohan Prem and Jalaj Saxena. Redkar, came and removed Saxena, followed by Rohan Prem to complete his maiden first-class five-wicket haul. He went on to take his sixth and Kerala lost 4 wickets within 21 runs, leaving Goa with a rather comfortable 155-run target to win the match.

Vijaykumar Vyshak - 5 for 59 vs Chhattisgarh

Vijaykumar Vyshak took his maiden first-class five-wicket haul of his career to set up a brilliant win for Karnataka on Day 4 against Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh started Day 4 with 35 for 2 and Karnataka needed to take 8 wickets as early as possible to have a chance to win this. Vyshak removed the first innings’ centurion Ashutosh Singh early in the first session, followed by the wicket of Amandeep Khare just before Lunch. Chhattisgarh went on to bowl out for 177 with Vyshak completing his fifer. Karnataka won the match by 7 wickets remaining.
