In a major development, the International Cricket Council has announced the player of the month nominees for December 2022. As expected, Babar Azam makes the cut, with Harry Brook and Travis Head joining him in the three-player list.

Babar enjoyed stellar success in December, amassing 523 runs at a fantastic average of 65.37. He was among the rare shining lights in an otherwise disastrous home series against England, which Pakistan lost by 0-2. Continuing his glorious touch, he hammered a scintillating ton in the first Test against New Zealand in Karachi.

Meanwhile, Harry Brook has emerged as a sensation since making his debut in 2022. The swashbuckling right-hander garnered 468 runs at an average of 93.60 and an incredible strike rate of 93.41. He smashed three centuries, showcasing his immense potential in red-ball cricket.

Similarly, Travis Head had a fabulous month with the bat in December last year. Coming in the middle order, the stylish left-handed batter played impactful knocks for Australia in Tests. Overall, he slammed 356 runs, including two fifties and one century, at a magnificent average of 89 in December.

As it will be a tough choice to pick one between these three, it will be interesting to see who becomes the player of the month.
