In a significant development, the Asian Cricket Council has released the cricket calendar for 2023 and 2024.

The much-anticipated Men's Asia Cup is scheduled in September later this year. This time, the tournament will be played in the ODI format.

To the delight of cricket fans across the globe, two arch-rivals, India and Pakistan, have been placed in the same group and will, therefore, take on each other in the six-team event. The Men's Premier Cup winner will join these giants as the third team in their group.

Meanwhile, the second group can be called the 'group of death', with Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan being placed in it.

There will be 13 matches in the tournament, including six group-stage and super-four fixtures and a final.
