What comes as a breaking news, Punjab Kings-famed keeper-batter Jitesh Sharma has been included in the Indian T20I squad for the remaining two matches against Sri Lanka.

Sharma has been named as a replacement for an injured Sanju Samson, who appartently not travelled to Pune with the rest of the team.

Earlier in the day, it was reported by OneCricket that Samson is a doubtful starter for the second T20I on Thursday, after he sustained a niggle on his knee and has stayed back in Mumbai for further diagnosis.

"Sanju Samson has been ruled out of the remainder of the 3-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. Samson hurt his left knee while attempting to field a ball near the boundary ropes," said BCCI's media release.

"The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Jitesh Sharma as replacement for Sanju Samson," the release added.
