Sanju Samson doubtful for 2nd T20I in Pune

India's Sanju Samson is a doubtful starter for the 2nd T20I against Sri Lanka on Thursday.

The wicket-keeper batter has a niggle on his knee and has not travelled with the Indian squad to Pune. He is staying back in Mumbai for further diagnosis.

The injury occured when Samson attempted a diving catch against the Lankan Lions in the first game of the series at Wankhede on Tuesday.

Although he caught the ball, but couldn't hold onto it after falling on the ground. As per the latest reports, Samson experienced swelling and was eventually asked to seek medical advice.

India won the first T20I by 2 runs. Batting first, the hosts scored a formidable 162 on the board, courtesy of a brilliant 41 from Deepak Hooda. In reply, Sri Lanka faltered in the chase, but skipper Dasun shanaka almost took them past the winning line.

Expect changes in the Indian lineup when the two teams collide in the 2nd T20I.
