Match 28 of the Big Bash League (BBL) 2022-23 between the Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat ended in a no-result after rain played spoilsport with just one inning taking place.

Michael Naser cameo lifts Heat to 147

The rain gods ensured that the Sixers had to wait to get on the field after winning the toss, reducing the game to a 13-over-a-side encounter. Colin Munro got the Heat off to a flier, scoring a quick 14-ball 38, before falling to Steve O'Keefe

Sam Billings departed for 16. O'Keefe claimed the wickets of Jimmy Pierson and Josh Brown in the same over, pegging the Heat down the rabbit hole even more.

Much to the Heat's dismay, they lost four wickets for under 10 runs.

However, against the run-of-play, Michael Neser (45*) smacked hefty blows in the final few overs, adding 56 runs in mere 23 balls with Nathan McSweeney (28*) as the pair lifted their side to 147 for 6 as the rain made its way again.
