Australia's hard-hitting all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has been signed by Sharjah Warriors for the inaugural season of the International League T20. Stoinis will thus become the first Australian player to feature in the cash-rich six-team event.

Stoinis is currently playing in the Big Bash League (BBL) 2022-23 for the Melbourne Stars and has managed 94 runs in six games. He will join the likes of England's Moeen Ali and Chris Woakes, Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi, and Namibia's JJ Smit in the Warriors squad.

Ranked number 9 in the ICC T20I Rankings for All-rounders, the 33-year-old is a T20I World Cup winner for Australia. Considered a white-ball specialist, the Perth-born has played 57 ODIs, and 51 T20Is for Australia, while amassing 4,413 runs in 216 T20s.

He has featured for sides like Royal Challengers Bangalore, Southern Brave, Delhi Capitals, and Perth Scorchers in his T20 career.
