England's Jofra Archer announces his comeback with a Tweet

After two difficult years, England's pace spearhead Jofra Archer welcomes year 2023 in style. The Barbados-born thanked the previous year and along with that, announced that he is ready for the challenges to be faced this year.

Posting a few photos of himself bed-ridden, Archer also added a recent shot of him while playing in the recently held practice match. His battle with injuries has been running long as he previously missed out on representing England in the last two T20 World Cups held in UAE and Australia, respectively.

Elbow issue, lower back stress fracture and an injury happening from fish tank mishap, Archer has been unfortunate as he has been unable to recover causing him trouble. 

However, now, he looks to make a return to the national set-up when the Three Lions take on South Africa in the three-match ODI series scheduled to take place in January end along with a short stint for MI Cape Town in the SA20 league.

The 27-year-old was crucial to the English side also ending as the highest-wicket taker in the 2019 World Cup where he delivered a magnificent super over against New Zealand in the final of the showpiece event.

Before the recent IPL auction, Archer was retained by Mumbai Indians before the next edition of the tournament.
