Ibrahim Zadran came out to open the innings for Afghanistan along with Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Batting was not easy, and Zadran's team kept losing wickets to start. They were soon three down for 57 runs in 14.1 overs.

Ibrahim kept his composure, and Najibullah Zadran joined him. The duo stitched a partnership of 154 runs before Najibullah was dismissed for 77 of 76. But this did not deter Ibrahim, as he batted till the last over, ensuring a massive total of 313 runs for his team.

He was dismissed on the last ball of the innings after hammering 162 runs off 138 balls. Although the Afghan bowlers failed to defend their score, Ibrahim's effort remains one of the bests in the ODIs this year.

In the end, Dasun Shanaka and Charith Asalanka ensured that Nissanka's effort did not go in vain, and Sri Lanka won the match by six wickets.

The Indian bowlers put the hosts under pressure early in the chase and got them reeling at three for 88 in the 20th over. At this stage, Tom Latham joined skipper Kane Williamson in the middle. Latham played a counter-attacking brand of cricket and allowed Williamson to play his usual role of a grafter.

The southpaw displayed brilliant batting skills to score 145 unbeaten runs off just 104 balls and took his team to a seven-wicket victory. Latham and Williamson (94) stitched an unbeaten 221 runs partnership off just 165 balls and helped New Zealand secure a 1-0 lead in the series.

2. Sikandar Raza - 135* off 109 vs Bangladesh, August 5, 2022

In the first match of the ODI series at Harare, Zimbabwe won the toss and decided to field first. However, the Bangladeshi batters made the most of a good batting wicket and put on 303 runs for the loss of two wickets in 50 overs.

While chasing the target, Zimbabwe was in deep trouble at six for two wickets down in the second over of the innings. Innocent Kaia stabilized things for the host, but soon they lost another wicket, and the score was 3 for 62 in just the 14th over of the innings.

Sikandar Raza joined Kaia at this stage and put Bangladesh off their plans through his counter-attacking cricket. He scored 135* off just 109 and took Zimbabwe to a five-wicket victory.

1.Rishabh Pant - 125* off 113 vs England, July 17, 2022

It was the decider of the three-match ODI series between England and India. Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to field first.

The Indian bowlers did a great job of bundling out the hosts for 259 runs in 45.5 overs. However, during the chase, the English team put India under immense pressure with early wickets. The visitors were struggling at 21 for two when Rishabh Pant came out to bat.
