In an unfortunate turn of events, swashbuckling Indian keeper-batter Rishabh Pant met with a life-threatening car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway on Friday. As per the latest update, Pant continues to be under treatment in Uttarakhand's Max hospital.

However, Mr Shyam Sharma, the Director of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), has revealed that they are planning to shift the cricketer to Delhi to ensure his best treatment.

Notably, the DDCA has sent a team to monitor Pant's health and might move him to the national capital, if needed, for plastic surgery.

Here's what Mr Sharma stated

"A team of Delhi and District Cricket Association is going to Max hospital Dehradun to monitor his health. If required, we'll shift him to Delhi and chances are high that we'll airlift to Delhi for plastic surgery."

Meanwhile, Dr Ashish Yagnik, who is treating Pant in the Max hospital, has stated that the cricketer is stable and under the observation of Orthopaedics and plastic surgeons.

"Cricketer Rishabh Pant is under the observation of orthopaedics and plastic surgeons. His condition is stable. A detailed medical bulletin will be released once he's examined. Thereafter, we'll take the next steps."
